Siddapura is a village in the Kundapura taluk of Udupi district. The dam built across the Varahi River is nearby. There is a temple of devi Bhuvaneshwari, situated near Gunjagodu.It is about 25 kms from Kundapur.There is Varahi river powerplant situated about 5 kms from Siddapur.It is a typical south canara vilage,where it is very hot during summer and heavy rains during Monsoon.Agumbe is about 30 kms from Siddapur.Nearest railway station is Kundapura.Connectivity is pretty good.It is mainly a brahmin community dominated area. Anegudde temple is 32 kms from Siddapura.It is famous for Lord Ganesh. Surrounded by thick forests around and it is very rich in Flora and Fauna.Snakes are oftenly sighted in the village.A book has been written about this village and it's surroundings by Srikanth Rao.There is also a factory which is owned by Gokul Industries which manufactures Cashew nut products and also a famous varieties of Fruits and Vegetable Chips.
